Strong in her convictions and impulsions Resilient in her cravings, most times farfetched An hurricane unleashed at the peak of her passion A fiery tempest at the touch of fury Her heart, a treasure masked by twirls of expression A receptive bundle of senselessness at the touch of love A warrior at the call of defense Her compassion, long and enduring Her scorn, a sting to be evaded Woman Kaleidoscope of distinct angles © Augusta Augustus

You say I have more sides to me than I present I have an alter ego and I have different shades But it's the way you react to me, that's how I react to you. You see my mind is my own kaleidoscope If you hurt me, I run away from you If you love me I love with a love that cannot fade away. If you get me angry I react to you with a wrath that makes even Olympus tremble I am like a scale, I weigh what you give to me And I give you an equal reaction So I am one person but like a river I am capable of flowing in many ways. I am my own kaleidoscope because I take a part you give me and transform it into different other parts of a whole. I am a person but my kaleidoscope allows me to be a reflection of how you treat me. I am my own Kaleidoscope and my kaleidoscope is in me. © Violet

Today at the gallery, I stared at my image on the glass door and saw my flaws building layers of regrets and rejection. A look at my face was a blush that spelt his name in a smile. The one that leads my soul to places my feet can't go and  when I stray  into the forest, he comes seeking for me, like an eagle with mighty wings, he flies low to save me. Then, he takes me to his hut and serves me coffee. With milk and honey, he soothes my soul and body. While he whispers those words to me " I love these scars, they spell the pulchritude of your goddess-ness" He views my flaws in a Kaleidoscope of unknown colours. © mgbada chiemerie
